Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Ep. 8: Scorpion and Sub Zero (Part 2)

The epic fight between our two iconic characters comes to a finish but not all is what it seems. In this episode we see the two continue the battle they left off from last time and yes Sub Zero uses ice powers. Is it really Sub Zero though? Watch to find out how the second to last episode of this awsome series turns out.

Episode 7: Mi Amore

I finally convince the love of my life, Erin Sleeper, to do a podcast episode with me. We talk great lengths about the new movie Bridesmaids, L.A. Noire, new romantic comedies, how much Erin hates the overuse of franchises and actors, and we go through the amazing movie line up for the summer/winter. Check it out because we love you!

Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Ep. 7: Scorpion and Sub Zero (Part 1)

Finally the storyline I've been waiting for Episode 7 is mostly a story about the ninja Scorpion and his past. It's odd watching a man who is known for ripping off his mask to reveal a fire breathing skull, to be teaching his son and loving his wife. On his way to meet the Shogun who has arrived early and finds a surprise waiting for him in frozen form. :) Enjoy!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Gameplay Trailer

The first teaser trailer for Modern Warfare 3 gave us bits of audio and a sort of matrix image of what looked like New York being bombarded from the coast as well as other teasers for different countries. With all of these battles it seems as though the entire world is at war and about half-way through the new trailer you see the "WW3" that shortly after is flips to the "MW3". So it seems that the next level of MW is to go all out for a modern day world war. Which FPS will you be buying by the end of the year? Will it be this grand MW3, the ultra realistic Battlefield 3, or Resistance 3?

Playstation's "Welcome Back" program

Its obvious to any PS3 owner that the PSN is now up and we can play games and what our Netflix instant queue. Now at the end of the month they plan to have all of their services up (Playstation Store, Home, and Qriocity). Since we've been doing other thing like reading a book or going outside, Sony has a "Welcome Back" appreciation program for customers in a way to express gratitude for their patience, support and continued loyalty during the shit storm. Here is a list of what to expect after all is well and back up:

PS3 users can select 2 PS3 games from the list and can be kept forever:
  • Dead Nation
  • inFAMOUS
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • SuperStardust HD
  • Wipeout HD + Fury
In addition to:
  • "On Us" movie rental titles over one weekend. (titles not yet announced)
  • 30 days of Playstation Plus for non-members and 60 days  for members
  • 100 free virtual items from PlayStation Home

All in all I'm just glad the damn thing is up and now we get free shit.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Ep. 6 - Raiden

Episode 6 of the Legacy series dives back to its gritty real world roots but gives hints of mysticism. Essentially what happens here is when Raiden comes to Earth he unintentionally lands in the yard of a mental institution and when you start telling people your the god of thunder and Shao Kahn is coming to destroy Earth then people start to think you belong there. Watch the rest of the episode to see how he escapes and dons his iconic hat.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Ep. 5 - Kitana & Mileena (Part 2)

Part 2 of the sweet Kitana and Mileena storyline is much better than the last two parter. This episode still has the "previously on" recap but doesn't take up a majority of the episode so it works as a nice refresher. After the recap it starts off where part 1 ended with the first training battle between the two sisters. Like the episode before it this one uses a handful of animated scene which are a welcome addition to this series and also like the previous episode there are very few scenes with Mileena's jacked up smile. As always this series has become a pleasure to watch and I can't wait to see who they use next. Enjoy!

Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Ep. 4 - Kitana & Mileena (Part 1)

Episode 4 is a game changer when it comes to storyline and animation for the Legacy series. All the episodes recently dealt within our reality, Earthrealm, but this episode blows the lid off how this series will deal with the sci-fi aspect of these stories and characters. It starts off with Kitana's backstory describing her home realm and how Outland is coming to take and destroy everything. This takes us out of the basic set scene and gives us something that is meant to feel out of this world and they accomplish this with splashes of CG and it's never overdone. There are also animated shorts describing a lot of Kitana and Mileena's childhood and the animation style was brilliant. Those two weren't the only characters to get a spot light as Baraka, Shao Kahn, and Shang Tsung had their small parts to play. This episode definitely makes up for the last which was a bit of a dud. I have 5 dollars that says Part 2 is mostly mud wrestling! Enjoy!!
